Pete Glidewell is running for Congress to bring more opportunity to North Carolina’s 6th District, by setting a national

priority of Putting American Jobs First. A veteran and lifelong businessman, Pete has served as CEO of a business that employed as many as 1,900 in North Carolina.

We need the maturity and wisdom of a experience businessman from our district to set priorities and bring opportunity home.

A true native, Pete is truly a product of the 6th district. Born in Roxboro and raised in Reidsville, Pete has lived in Greensboro, Burlington and Elon.

  • Attended college on a football scholarship earning a Degree in Business Administration and Economics at Davidson College.
  • Graduate of The Executive Program at the University of North Carolina Business School.
  • U.S. Army Company Commander in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star.
  • Member of the Episcopal Church and serving in leadership of his church and as a Sunday School Teacher.
  • Democratic Party Chair of Alamance County

Over his career Pete, learned that business must create an ethical balance between owners, supplier, customers and employees. He wants to bring that concept of shared success to government. Your tax dollars should be used to promote the greatest good for the most people.

Pete lives in Elon with his wife Beth; they have 5 sons and 7 grandchildren.
